Hemyock Farm required a technology solution that was powerful enough to cover a large estate but simple enough for daily use. Our focus was on creating a seamless audio experience that transitioned from the interior kitchen and lounge to the expansive front and back verandas.
Multiroom Audio Mastery
We deployed a Russound CAA66 6-zone controller/amplifier. This legacy-tier powerhouse provides independent volume and source control for every zone. Residents can stream via AirPlay or Bluetooth, or listen to high-quality audio from centralised sources, all controlled via discreet wall-mounted keypads.
Discreet Integration
One of the key requirements was that the technology should be heard, but not seen. We used premium in-ceiling speakers in the kitchen and living areas, and high-performance weather-rated speakers for the verandas. Each installation was color-matched and positioned to provide an even “blanket” of sound without cluttering the architectural lines of the estate.
Robust Infrastructure
The “brain” of the home is a centralised server cabinet featuring:
- Enterprise-grade Wi-Fi: Full coverage across the estate buildings.
- DSTV Distribution: High-definition satellite feeds to every TV.
- Active Thermal Management: Professional extraction fans integrated into the cabinet to ensure 24/7 reliability.
- Structured Cabling: Clean, labeled and documented for long-term maintenance.
